       Is it a must to use avatar in your forum?

       Have you ever come across members who don't like adding or
       updating their profile avatar after registration?
       Do you make it a rule to have avatar updated or it doesn't
       matter?

       I've been running forums off and on for over 10 years, and not
       ONCE did I ever have a rule that users must have an avatar, it's
       even less required since 99% of people view forums on
       smartphones or tablets, and such devices uses mobile ready theme
       or software to the point where in most cases, you wouldn't even
       be able to see a person's avatar unless you looked at their
       profile anyway
