Simple Machines (SMF)

Who uses it or has in the past? How would you rate it and
compare it to other forum software brands? Have you used
Invision as a user?

This forum is using Simple Machines.
I have a forum that uses it. I just created it not too long ago
because I think SMF is the best free software out there.
I wouldn't know what to compare it to. Maybe UBB or an older
forum software. It feels old school but is a little modern.
Addons and themes are easy to install, it's responsive.

It does feel like something out of the mid 2000s, but I love it
one way or the other. It's way easier to work with and
understand than phpBB.

The simplicity resides in the ability to do one-click
installations of themes and mods as well as one-click software
updates.
