        How do you handle spam and trolling on your forum?

       If you run a forum long enough, you’ll meet trolls and spammers
       that behave like they’re on a mission. 🤣 Some even post
       links in bulk to spam the forum . I usually set strict posting
       rules for new accounts and use auto-moderation, but sometimes
       you still have to manually ban, delete, or warn people. That's
       what I did and it was a lifesaver.

       I take measures on spam from the get go:
       1. I require admin approval for all members
       2. I use stop forum spam and project honeypot
       3. I use security questions related to my niche
       4. I ask why they want to join
       5. I ban whole email and gTLD domains of known spammers
       For trolls and those who just want to misbehave, I watch them
       closely and take action quickly before they can really get too
       ahead of their trolling.
       I just don't put up with bs anymore. I've raised a teenage girl.
       I've seen some %$#@ lol. I'm prepared for anything now.
