I like the atmosphere of a forum better, but a few blogs match
that atmosphere in the comments.

I like the control I have over the content as far as blogs go.
But I do enjoy the community we can build with a forum.
I will always run both a forum and a blog! It's easier though to
run multiple blogs versus multiple forums.

Blog is like talking to people, forum is like you are gisting
with them. For blogs, you post and everybody reads quietly
unless someone comments. Forums are a proper conversation
ground, people argue, share ideas, you even meet different
characters there. 🤣 I prefer forums when it comes to
building a real community.

You can have avatars in blog comments. Really, it can be very
similar to forum posts.

But it usually isn't.
Forums tend to get way more engagement than blogs, especially
these days.
I know many bloggers who just turn comments off.
