[sub]Southernsong stared at Vividpaw in surprise, hiding her
slight sadness at losing an apprentice. Sure, she had another
one to teach, but she had grown to like the new deputy
apprentice and had been looking forward to teaching her. She had
really thought that Vividpaw had been the right choice. I guess
not.
Swallowing the doubt that grew in her throat she looked at
Vividpaw and then said, hiding her unhappiness, "I understand.
Whatever feels right for you is the path that you may take.
Remember, there is always a spot for you if you wish to
return--there can be more than one medicine cat apprentice."
Turning to Sparticlemystery she smiled slightly. At least the
she-cat was nice--it would be horrible for Vividpaw to be
replaced with some grumpy old cat. In fact, she was looking
forward to teaching the she-cat already. It would be
interesting, and there was always room for new things to happen.

pregnant," Vividpaw confessed, the guilt immediately washing out
of her. It was good for the light brown tabby to get it out into
the public. But their reactions? She was unsure about them.

had yet to receive an answer. But still, she was just going to
have to suck it up. They can't be together. And he loved
Vividpaw from the start. It just… wouldn't work. And the sooner
