       Camo/Light Color Filtration Testing
By: spetz Date: December 20, 2012, 8:50 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I already talked to a couple people about this, but heres the
       deal for everyone to know:
A few weeks ago I was talking to an Industrial Artist (mixes art
and science to create pieces for the purposing of making people
inclined to do certain things) about camouflage and how
different light's wave lengths result in different things
showing up. We came up with the idea of using chem lights (glow
sticks for you civis) to make certain people's bodies difficult
to see (if done perfectly, almost invisible) and others easier
to see at night. Now this will affect you if you plan on doing
any night ops specifically CQC and MOUT ops such as Blacksheep.
The idea is buy tossing a chem light into a room before
entering, using it to light an occupied room, or using it to
light certain areas in the woods we can make it take an extra
split second to a second for people to see us before we see
them. Less then a second may not seem like much, but when your
in a fire fight it can mean the difference between winning and
       losing.
To achieve this goal I plan to conduct a test of different light
colors, camo patterns, and operators to see what combinations
work the best and what work poorly. To do this I need help with
eyes and primarily different camo patterns. I'm not sure when I
will conduct the testing, but I hope to do it relatively in the
near future to prepare for future ops.
The Camo patterns can be either a small piece like a hat or a
       full uniform which is preferred.
Currently for Camo patterns I have:
       Woodland
       Woodland Digi
       CADPAT
       Flecktarn
       Three color desert
       Multi-Cam
       Tan (a few shades)
       Black
       Olive Drab
       Coyote Brown (non-marine)
       I would like:
       Desert Digital
       Destarn
       Chocolate Chip Desert
Tiger Stripe both Woodland and Desert
       ACUPAT
And I'm sure I'll think of More
       Thanks for your help guys!

We talked about this a bit. I'm pretty excited to test this. I
can also bring my ACU, whenever you want to do this testing let
me know and I will help out.
