Judging by the things I have heard is they are mostly a
tacticool item for airsoft. But if you hit your head/ get hit in
the head a lot, I would get one. I am sometimes tempted to get
one myself.

i saw a nice one for 50 one evike although it was sold out... i
would love it to look more profesional of an airsofter, because
you see most pro airsoft teams with helmets, yet i refuse to
look like an airsoft douche barbie... so i dont know

The advantages are: protects head from impact, allows for add
ons, makes goggles fit better.

this. I personally would only add NVGs to my helmet if I had
them. Some people think they are just heavy and cumbersome but
its really just all personal preference. I love mine. I don't
like getting hit in the head by anything so it helps. I wouldn't
spend that much on a helmet though but then again I am old
fashioned and love my pis pot. :)
and this "i refuse to look like an airsoft douche barbie" is
going on the quotes topic lol :D

As the least "tactical" or tacticool person in the whole state,
in my opinion they are not tacticool, they are milsim. If it
goes with the uniform there is nothing wrong with it, if its the
correct helmet. If you have an infantry impression then it looks
weird without one.
