Committee trip to Spartan Assault 03/11/12

Well we all had a great time I think!
Round 1: Attack and defend at kyles. The day started off with
Digger leading a group of defenders to defend kyles base from an
oncoming attack lead by me. I first split my team (20 guys) into
3 groups one to assault the rear side of the base, one to attack
the right side of the base, and another (CCAS) to meet the base
head on. The initial part of the assault was met with heavy gun
fire, and some major resistance. While they were getting
assaulted from the front I moved my men onto the side we were
going to begin our assault. We also quickly met resistance. But
this made it possible for our flanking team to more easily go
around undetected. after about 10 minutes of play I started
having gun malfunctions. I quickly decided I couldn't fix it and
switched to my side arm. I attempted to move up to a larger tree
and got taken out. After my bleed out, I went to respawn. After
I respawned I met up with CCAS and got a new assault going on
the front. After getting organized, we were able to get moving
closer. As we got closer our flanking team was able to put on a
large assault and we moved perfectly together to take the base
with ease.
Round 2: I believe this was capture the flag, I did not
participate because redrover was fixing my gun, My problem was,
my piston head had come off during play! easy fix and was back
in for round 3.
Round 3: Vets VS. Noobs. In the vets VS. noobs game it was all
CCAS, SA's Fireteam Light brigade, Redrover, butcher, and
mgunner. All we had to do was defend Kyles base from an oncoming
attack and keep the enemies out of the base for 45 minutes. we
met very little resistance, until the last 10 minutes where
people were running out of ammo, batteries were dying, and what
not. We ended up winning by the skins of our teeth.
Then there were two games of aussie hunt, I only really
participated once.
All in all biggest turnout I have ever seen at a spartan assault
training. I had a blast, and I think the rest of the committee
did to!
