       Those weapons are fine. It's much cheaper if you buy wraps for
       old boots you still have.

       Thank you for the help as for boots I don't have
       anything...maybe 'army' boots worn in to start with that can be
       worn in RL?

       Nazis so nothing has to be authentic, just looks the part.

       Abso-freaking-lutely! I used army boots for a long time and
       they're fairly easy to wrap rags around or put covers on IF you
       want to. Another good source of footwear is old riding boots if
       any of you equinly inclined :P

       I think I might go with DMs to start as I get bad feet and
       comfort is the foremost thing...plus I can wear them out of
       larp. And as you said they can be made to look the part plus
       good for characters that do trudge the road a lot.
