Re: Reputations at Stake: The Hunt for Char the Vampire

*Sameena sat at her trade stall, nervously shifting the items
around in front of her to try to make them more appealing to
potential customers. She cut an interesting figure; it was
tricky to judge her age, maybe mid thirties, but it was hard to
see where the leaves, twigs and ivy that wound their way around
her gown and hair ended and the woman began! By her feet a small
child, again more sticks and moss than boy, played in the mud.
"Root - leave that alone! I don't know when I'll get to wash
your clothes again, and if I don't sell something today I don't
even know when we'll eat!!" Once again, she rearranged her
wares: pill and potion bottles, leather money pouches, belts,
ropes, and other bits and bobs she'd either hand-crafted or
collected from Tehidith Woods before they'd fled. Wanting to
busy herself and not look too desperate to the oncoming
browsers, she picked up her Trollen wheel and continued to
weave...

*glares balefully at LadyLSD* you may have coin, but you do not
behave as a lady. So why should I treat you as one?
*he turns his back on her and wanders over to Samhhena's stall
where he begins examining the ropes, belts, and leather pouches*
The stitching on this pouch are well done my lady.. *he piles a
sturdy rope, a thick belt and two leather pouches together* how
much would you want for these? *he points casually at the pile*

*Sameena suddenly panics... She has no clue of the value of her
wares in these parts! In Tehidith there had been no need for
such a thing as currency, the plants and trees had provided
everything that they'd needed. Shyly smiling up at the stranger,
she says, hesitantly, "Perhaps you could make me an offer, good
sir? I am new to this town and just hope for a coin or two for
my child and I to survive..." She waits, hoping her naivety
hadn't borne badly on her...

*he smiles at the woman from the depths of his hood. He lifts a
heavy coin bag from his belt and delves inside, his lithe
fingers withdraw a small gold coin and several larger silver
ones. He looks to Lerryn and Schwann* does this seem fair
payment? I'm afraid I've never needed to handle payments
myself...

*Mallificus addresses the assembled group* I regret that
something rather pressing has come up to which I must attend. I
will not be able to accompany you all on this hunt. Mallificus
then turns to Schwann* Schwann Take this *He hands over the belt
of glass vials given to him by Jimmy the Pint* You will surely
need these. You should also take this *a small wooden case is
thrust into Schwann's hands* You will know what to do with this
when the time comes priest, see to it that I get it back eh!
*The bounty hunter gives the priest a look and Schwann realises
that the return of the box would be worthless if he himself was
not still attached to it* I wish you all good speed and a and a
kings ransom !!
*Out of character:Sorry guy's and gal's I am not going to be
able to get on much this week to actively participate and I
don't want to hold up proceedings. I wish you all the best with
your hunt. Schwann I will PM you about the wooden box

Lady LSD took the hooded ones attack of words on the chin. She
watched as he made his way to Sameena's wears, curiously
calculating his actions and movements. Thinking her words
carefully.
Her mother had always taught her 'think before you speak' and
thats exactly how she presented herself in any given situation.
Ready for him, she followed in close behind his footsteps, this
wasnt something she would let go to easily.
She leaned him close to him as she spoke to him "Pray tell elven
one, you declaire i act not of a Lady, so tell me oh noble one,
when exactly have i failed to act as my given title expects?" it
was a simple question, yet an honest one. She had never failed
in her duties of upholding her name sake.
Watching him struggle with his own diverse on coin amount, Lady
LSD pulled a silk coin purse from under her cloak. She knew all
to well the amount inside was well over the given amount for an
item, and infact could buy the entire stall if required, but
Lady LSD was not the type to take without giving.
She handed the coin purse over to 'Sameena' with a simple smile,
and no words.

In jogging fashion, Astandord catches up to the rest of the
group eventually, running with a large bardiche in the left
hand, sword and hammer in the belt, with what seems to be small
pots of volatile substances attached to the other side, a
backpack on, slung with a crossbow and a shield. Once now
actually up behind them, he takes a moment to take an intake of
breath, his heavy plate armour, chainmail and arsenal wearing on
his stamina for any form of running. He eventually restands,
leaning to one side with the pole weapon being used as a resting
post.
"A'ight! I's got everythin' I need, so, is all good aye! Phew...
What we doin'? Shoppin' for goodies and some shit?"

*looks steadily at LadyLSD* For a start, you could stop
referring to everyone by their race. People have names, try
using them. Just because you have coin does not make you better
then the rest of us. I myself was born into a noble family, even
though I have since forsaken my kin and my race.
*he watches her hand over the coin purse and snarls* if I have
offered unfair payment you could just tell me. There is no need
to flaunt your wealth.
*he pulls one of his coin pouches free and lays it on the
counter. He scoops up his purchases and stows them in his pack.
He bows to Samheena* Thank you my lady, I hope the gods smile
upon you and your child.
*he pulls out a sweet bun wrapped in a large oak leaf and offers
it to the little boy*

"Tha' fuck is this? The pair of ya man up and suck it, ya
tossers. We gon' be fightin' a soddin' Vampire soon, save ya
little arguments for when we get back or so help me ya both gon'
disappear before we even fuckin' get there." He says without any
level of tone, entirely neutral, but totally serious.
"Ya like a pair of numpties, arguin' over who tha' fuc' is
payin'. What's this? What tha' fuck is this? Pay up, get what ya
need and get ready to move out. Simple as, simple does, get it
done."

She watches his actions carefully, again thinking before she
spoke.
"Might i remind you elven one, that i call you by your race as
you have not introduced yourself to me. I do not know of your
name. "She looked over him with a smug smile. "Its a pitty you
are so quick to judge when you are poor flavour yourself" She
smiled sweetly as she walked away.
Lady LSD headed towards 'Ast' Seeing him slightly breathless and
in armoured to the hilts. "I see you are still playing the role
of tin can today my dear. It still baffles me as to why you live
in that thing"
Now standing before him she looked over his features once more.
"Are you alright dear? you rather puffed out" She questioned
with a warm smile, before she glanced over her shoulder to the
elven one, once more.
