Reputations at Stake: The Hunt for Char the Vampire

As we all know Duke Torin has placed an undisclosed bounty on
the head of a Vampire named Char. I will certainly be wanting a
cut of this as I have an idea that this bounty will not be a
meagre affair. Others have already expressed their own reasons
for wanting to be involved. I propose we get a hunting party
together. All those in favour of joining the hunt should come
forward now. *Mallificus raises his glass* Who's in !?

Preacher Schwann stands with you. I owe it to the memory of Sir
Stahlritter to at least try to end Char's reign of terror. As I
said in the pub, however, two conditions apply. A fair division
of the coin, and the staking and decapitation of my body should

I would like to offer my services also, as I have just arrived
in town and find myself somewhat low on funds. Rajana Storm,
mage, at your service. I admit, this is my first hunt, but
believe that magic would be a welcome addition to your party?

hope, of course, that um, this *nervously stroking a horn*
wouldn't be an issue?

This is good, Welcome on board Leyshon and well met Ragana
Hopefully we can all come to rely on each other. I know of one
more that has expressed an interest in joining this group *
mallificus turns to Schwann* what of Lerryn? does she still
choose to accompany you?. Regardless, Schwann here has the
inside track as he is the one who not only discovered the
vampire but also had to confront him, miraculously escaping with
his life. Schwann is the last one to know the whereabouts of
Char so hopefully this will give us a head start on any others
hoping to claim the bounty on his head. I suggest we start by
looking at this Inn you spoke of and seeing if we can pick up
any clues from there as to where he might of travelled. I think
it is doubtful that he still resides there but it may pay to be
cautious on that front, He may be in hiding there with nowhere
else to go. Certainly the ruse of an Inn would bring him a
supply of fresh meat without him having to spend too much effort
looking for it.
I should say one other thing regarding the bounty, I think we
should keep Char bound in torpor until a satisfactory agreement
can be made on this 'Negotiable Bounty' We wouldn't want to
loose all our bargaining power by killing him straight away
would we. *Mallificus studies each of the people before him, as
if to weigh up their thoughts on this matter*
What say you all ? Has anyone else something to suggest on the
hunt?

Schwann raises an eyebrow. "Binding a vampire is no easy task."
He says at length. "The easiest way is a special kind of chain,
forged of an iron and silver mix and rubbed in garlic. That will
cause a kind of undead system shock. However, we will need to
procure the chain and garlic, and then we will need to actually
get it around the vampire's neck. As I said, not an easy task.
As for Lerryn, I shall certainly inquire as to her interest as
soon as she returns."

Well... it's been a long time since we've had such enthusiastic
Vampire hunters in these parts
Rifling under the bar Jimmy pulls out a simple leather belt
containing a line of vials fastened to the belt by leather
loops. Deftly he tosses it to Mal and gives him a nod.
You may be needing this. Garlic wine, nigh on impossible to brew
right but gives the drinker some protection against the undead.
I'm sick of the same meat head mercenaries taking all the
bounty - you kids give 'em hell
