Role Playing online and visible dice rolling
       By: guest6 Date: September 4, 2015, 2:09 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       Hi all
It is great to see that ideas are starting to get bounced around
already and in just one week the community already seems ALIVE!
Obviously it is going to be a little while until we can all meet
up for an actual event (The date for the first event being
       Friday 1st July 2016)
I am assuming that as this sub forum (RP Planning) has been
created in order that people may plan role play's before that
time and start to really build up this community with some
       really vivid mental imagery.
Having read, with much interest, the thread 'Greetings from a
shadowy corner of the bar room' there is already great
       potential for this.
I use a program/app/game (whatever you want to call it) for role
playing with other friends online called 'Tabletop Simulator'.
We all jump on Skype or Steam Chat and we use Tabletop Simulator
as a way to see each others dice roll's ( this is one of the
       standard functions of 'TS')
It comes in a little pricey at £15 but it is a really handy
thing to have for RP'ing over Skype because then nobody can
cheat on their dice rolls :P
It has loads of other uses as well and is open to the Steam
Workshop which essentially means that users can mod the game to
       do whatever they want.
There are even D&D mods that have already been created by other
players that you can just download from the Steam Workshop for
free so that whoever is playing has a visual representation of
what is going on in the game.
       you can find it here:
  HTML http://store.steampowered.com/app/286160
Equally if anyone else has some handy dice rolling / Role
Playing app's or sites post them here on this thread :)

Just to let you guys know, if any of you live near the Camborne
area or don't mind a little drive, you are welcome to a table
top roleplay club which happens every Sunday evening. The club
has been running for about 17 years or so and is held in my
local pub. As you can imagine some of our games are long
       lasting.
Should anyone be interested just message me Ricky Barker on the
       facebook page.

It's probably worth noting, that there are different ways of
RPing online if you wish to just post that's fine, Though I'd
advise that you discuss your ideas first and make sure that
anybody you are playing with is able to post as frequently (or
infrequently for you busy bunnies) as you. If you ever need an
NPC to stir up a little trouble or help move the action along,
you only need to ask :)

Unfortunately neither option is good for me. I don't have an
internet capable PC (I'm currently typing on a hudl) and while I
would love to do the tabletop RPG, my faith means I'm always at
the local church on Sunday evening. (Why do you think I'm
playing a priest!?) Besides which, I live in Penzance, cannot
drive, and the public transport is somewhat patchy on Sundays.
However, if anyone knows of a tabletop RP group in Penzance, I
       would be most interested.

I am up for written RP if anyone wishes a more one on one
storyline as I do it anyway on other sites as to be honest I
think I have my work cut out remembering all the rules I have to
learn for the real event ><
