Oswalds Origins
Long ago, In a land far away from Kernow. there was a city
known for it's art in magic. Lived a young boy known as Oswald.
A young den who'd spend most his youth with his friends in the
streets pranking the local general store owner within his
street, He'd usually would throw buckets of water at the owner
with his friends, as soon as the owner would put his sign
outside his store. But it wasn't always like this for oswald,
his family were quite the wealthy type. and later on would
enroll him to the most expensive academy for mages. after
enrolling and completing the academy. Oswald met a young woman
by the name of Morna. Oswald create silly tricks with his magic
to impress the woman. Which eventually won her over, This was
it...Oswald finally was having his life going the way he planned
it out. Simple, Happy, Wealthy. After his marriage Morna was
pregnant with his first child. Oswald would always come home
from teaching, To talk about names he was thinking of and Morna
would find it annoying, but cute at times. They finally came to
the decision that if it was a boy, it would be named Orion, and
if it was a girl she would be named Demelza. When the child was
born, Oswald was waiting from the results if it was a boy or
girl. Secretly he was hoping it was a boy. And when he walked in
Morna said "Say Hello to your father Orion" Oswalds face lit up
with happiness. He new his life was working well and was
amazing.
15 years later Orion started at the same academy as his father
used 17 years ago. Orion was preparing for his 15th birthday
dinner with his family and friends. meanwhile at home Oswald was
preparing everything using his telekinesis magic to sort the
dinner table and clean the house. the clock struck 4, Orion
started to walk home. as Orion walked the fastest way home he
heard a noise in a dark alley way. as he started to walk towards
the noise he looked around the corner to see a glowing orange
portal..it looked fire was trying to escape it. and all of a
sudden a loud scream echo'd out of the alley to the
streets..Bystanders looked towards the alley in shock. Later on
Oswald started to worry where his son was. He knew his son
always took this certain route home. So he left the house
telling Orions friends and Morna that he'll be back soon. After
walking up the street he hears a crowd of people staring at the
alley. Guards using their detect magic on a corpse to find out
how this person died. Oswalds heart felt like it stopped.
Everything seemed blurry but this body on the floor looked
familiar to him. Oswald let out a loud shout "Get out my bloody
way!" Pushing through the crowd to see the body. A guard try's
to stop him. But Oswald pushes him away also. Then he stopped
suddenly and stared at the lifeless body of his son. his neck
sliced. Oswald collapsed to the floor. and cried. the Guard
inspecting the body allowed Oswald to take the body back to his
house so he maybe buried. But that wasn't the plan Oswald rushed
home in tears kicked the door open. Orions friends screamed at
the sight of the body and ran out the house. Morna runs from the
kitchen and sees the body. Shocked in what she was seeing.
Oswald tried everything that he learned to bring his son back..
Nothing was working. Oswald was panicking, struggling to find
something to help him out...After failing it was midnight.
everything was quiet. Morna and Oswald took their son to the
back garden. and buried him. Something changed in Oswald. Made
him insane to find the answer to immortality to bring back his
son and to protect his family.
2 years passed. Oswald has no job, and the left over money
was spent on a old Wizzard tower in the snowy mountains where he
collected many books to read from. from Dark magic. to the
biology of creatures. Trying to find something to bring back his
son. He'd spend most his days in his tower reading, and testing
his spells on animals trying anything he could to get his son
back. Meanwhile Morna was in the house looking from her window
at the tower wondering what happend to the man she loved so many
years ago. Watching him go insane slowly. Later on He sold the
house and Morna moved into the tower. it was horrible for the
poor woman but she would try anything to bring back the man she
loved. The money went to more books, Food, Creatures, And also 6
Man sized dolls. A year has passed Oswald was known to the city
as the Mad Magus. Exiled from his people. He would only sneak
into the city to go to the blackmarket to purchase things. but
with being exiled from his people. A cost came to that. Morna
had no friends. No family. Nothing to help her from a disease
she caught from a rat that bit her. After being in her bed for 2
weeks, slowly dying Oswald's old self came back to him at her
last moments. He pleaded for forgiveness for Neglecting her,
Leaving her for something which he couldn't help. He cried by
her side until she let out her last words towards him.. "You
betrayed me...And Orion...I hate you." After her breath went
after that sentence her eyes slowly closed. Oswald sat
there...the same vison he had from seeing his son dead in the
street, A loud ringing noise was heard in his ears.. The mage
Snapped and screamed smashing the room in a rage fit for his
mistakes. Later on he snuck into the city with her body and
buried her in their old garden next to there son. Oswald stared
at their old house.. It was marked as the "Insane House" No one
would buy it..it was just falling apart. he was returning to his
tower. and noticed a witch in the blackmarket something drew him
to her. He asked.
Oswald"What do you sell?"
Witch "I know your past Oswald..The pain you've been
through...Take this..."
She handed him a necklace and note.
Witch - "This is the key to internal life...But it comes at a
cost"
Oswald - "How much!, I must have this now...I'll pay anything!"
Oswald reached in his pouche and through it to the table. But
she was gone.. the necklace and note was still there but she
vanished. He took it and ran. the guards spotted him "HEY! STOP
RIGHT THERE SCUMBAG!" Oswald threw a smoke bomb on the floor
making the guards cough as the smoked cleared he was gone. After
getting to his tower. He looked for something to used this
necklace on, He noticed one Sack body was left. He grabbed it
and threw everything else off the table. And slammed it down. He
could see light coming towards his tower. the City guard were
coming for him. He rushed and put the necklace on the body.
Oswald-"Right I need to hurry..They're coming"
He rushed and noticed the note it he grabbed it as fast as he
could, and opened it
Oswald - "What the bloody hell? Elvish?..Not time for that."
He ignored the letter which was a warning...then suddenly the
Necklace started to emit a green light... he quickly looked out
the window and saw the light just outside the door. as they were
trying to get to the first door the necklace opened up. Oswalds
face lit up he thought he could prove that he wasn't crazy, and
a psycho He was cheering and throwing his arms in the air for
excitement
Oswald - YES! ITS WORKING!...I THINK!"
All of a sudden a beam of light surrounded Oswald...His skin
felt like it was being boiled he screamed he started to age
rapidly.the guards outside could hear these horrible screams
from outside, thinking he was committing a murder they were
bashing the door down more and more
Guard - "COME ON LADS GET IN THERE!"
All of a sudden Oswald fell silent but was violently shaking...
hearing the breath pour out his mouth, all of a sudden he
started to shrivel up. his clothes fell to the floor and then
his robes fell to the floor... the necklace sucked his soul into
the orb, then it closed. everything fell silent. As soon as the
guards got through the main door. they saw his remains. They let
out a smile. knowing that he was finally gone...
4 months later, the sack bodies eyes started to pulse a green
glow. then stayed green...The body jumped forward looking
confused and scared.. this room he was in was dusty...Falling
apart and webs everywhere he looked at his hand...and spotted a
a tag on him..he looked closely and read "Property of Oswald!"
He looked around looking for this "Oswald" then realised that it
could be him. He walked around the tower and saw the stacks and
stacks of books and wondered if they were his. what was amazing
is that the body knew how to talk, how to read, how to learn..it
was Oswald but it wasn't at the same time. the old Oswald's soul
is trapped, locked away giving this body life..eternal life? as
Oswald walked back down the stairs he noticed the big window
overlooking the city. he thought it was amazing... as he turned
he saw robes on the floor... thinking that they were his as he
put them on he felt like he was at home. and cleared the place
with some magic he wondered how he knew some of these magical
abilities. after clearing up the place he read through all the
spell books, all the creature books and knowledge of the lands
it took him 45 years to read all the books 6 times just so he
could get the knowledge, He fell in love with knowledge, and
knew that he needed to know more. He wanted to become the best
mage that has ever walked on this planet...and more. He called
himself "Oswald The "Grand" Magus" and has travelled to many
lands in search for knowledge. it's now been 400 years and he's
now travelling to Kernow for his next exhibition.
CURRENT SACK OSWALD BONUS FACTS!
1) After Oswald was reborn into this body, Midway through his
reading he found a Necromancer book. and Accidentally raised the
dead which plunged the city into a nightmare fest and it managed
to kill everyone and destroy the city in the process. This was
one of the first accidents Oswald made without noticing what he
done.
2) Oswald once killed a young priest and beheaded him just
because the priest refused to give him a potion Oswald wanted in
his collection from kernow.
3) Oswald managed to catch a ghost and jammed it into a sealed
potion bottle where Oswald claims it to be his only
friend...funny enough the ghost's name is Ossy
4) Oswald Has memory problems which causes him to forget things
for a long while. he later reconnects with the memory's.
5) Oswald has no knowledge of his past life. He believes he's
the last of his kind...
6) Oswalds Pre life memories actually burst out
sometimes...Showing the soul trying to escape and pleed for
help. But Oswald doesn't think anything of it. and Doesn't
remember what the Trapped soul says.
7) On once of Oswalds exhibitions, Oswald was once a adviser to
a king, and lead a the king on a exhibition to find mythical
sword imprisoned on a rock, and it was important to the king, to
boost the morale of his people. upon finding the sword, the king
was granted great power little did he know the sword was also
cursed brought a plague upon the kingdom which killed thousands
of people including the kings family and guards. Just before
this event happend Oswald left without knowing the doom he
brought upon this kingdom.

I think I understand his backstory and he is a very interesting
character, I look forward to meeting him soon.
