Making friends......

Hi guys. I'm often known as Jimmy Nunns in the real world and on
fb. I'd like to get to know people better and actually make
friends. I find I can be so much more open when hiding behind a
keyboard lol. Whilst I'm not new to larping, I have always
struggled in social situations. To that end, if anyone wants to
know more about each other and attempt to make friends before
July, feel free to chat on here! 😆

*Waves* Hi there, unfortunately I couldn't make the event but I
am a lurker here. I am a totally newbie to larp and pretty shy
at first but always happy to make new friends. I am Rachelle
Coon on FB so please add me and I shall be a foxling called
Willow at the event, very nervous but looking forward to my
first time in the field so to speak...

Welcome to the club, Jimmy. I'm Matt Jones in real life and on
fb. Feel free to add me, but don't expect a new post on my fb
page every day (or week...or month...) I'm always either too
busy to post, or have nothing worth mentioning to post about. As
for social anxiety, don't worry. I'm autistic spectrum myself,
so we'll probably be the two guys in the Chaosgate pub staring
nervously at each other from opposite ends of the room! I'll be
going to CG as a Kramvil (reptile guy) if I can get the costume
finished in time.

Unfortunately construction has come to a halt temporarily. My
grandmother died last month and I've been too busy with funerals
and the like to do any more apart from replacing the highly
dangerous hard plastic horns with nice squishy foam ones.

Sounds good Matt. Foam horns are always safer. Lol. So what got
you guys interested in the idea of larping? Did you do tabletop
to begin with or are you completely new to the role play
experience? And for those of you with a filthy mind, I don't
mean the bedroom type! 😉

Used to do D&D a bit, also a big player of Warhammer, Wh40k and
Bolt Action (bottom line: WW2 Warhammer.) I'm also a fan of some
computer RPG's, but (shocking announcement) I never really got
into the Elder Scrolls series. I prefer the Japanese take on
RP's, such as the "Tales of" and "Fire Emblem" series.

Hi all! I've just discovered a new problem I'm going to have
with LARPing... Not only am I a total noob to this or any form
of RPG (unless sonic the hedgehog or Toejam & Earl count??) but
I am also useless with names... I've now got to remember what
people look like 'in the flesh' from Geekfest and match that
with their name on FB, but I've then got to remember which
character relates to which RL person! Saw lots of people at
Geekfest and didn't say hello because I didn't make the
connection... D'oh! Anyhoo, I'm on FB as Samantha Christine, I
was at Geekfest as Katniss Everdeen but probably better
remembered for Mini Carnage (and last year Jedi/Venom), and in
July I will be Sameena Hedera of the Plantae people from
Tehidith; healer and crafter who'll be accompanied by Root, mini
warrior and my personal bodyguard 😊 Hello all!
