       Religion
       By: guest22 Date: April 24, 2016, 5:11 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Okay, so as requested, putting a copy of my suggestions for
religions over here for information and comment:
       The Den
I would suggest a largish pantheon here. As many pantheons have
similar types of gods, I would suggest at least the following
       types:
       A father/king (Odin/Zeus/Osiris) - allknowing or wise
       A warrior (Thor/Ares/Horus) - hot tempered, younger
       A seductress (Aphrodite/Freya/Isis) - skilled at love
       A mother/wife (Juno/Frigg/Isis) - protective, maternal
       A trickster (Loki/Mercury) - playful but deceptive
       A death representative (Anubis/Freya/Hades)
       Others as people see fit
       The Korr
Seems like they would worship iron in some form - word of iron
for honour, the working of iron and other metals, fire for
purity etc. Blacksmith god? Almost certainly some kind of
       craftsman, see Vulcan/Hephaestus types.
       The Koth and Skeus-Koth
Cunning/diplomacy seems to be highly prized - I would suggest a
twofaced god (in both senses of the word!), or better yet a
goddess based around ice and fire. One side (ice side) would be
calm and diplomatic (or sly!), other side (fire side) would be
       savage warrior
       The Karrek
These were a created race, so Piskis should come into it
somewhere. Possibly a remote creator god where the Piski are
seen as messengers of this god? So the Piski are venerated but
as agents of their 'proper' god. And have the remote creator god
be rocklike - diamond or obsidian maybe? Or lava when he's mad?
       The Derey-Tava
Since the demons aren't around to bring up these offspring, the
non-demon parents religion would be appropriate (assuming the
       religion will accept them!)
       The Chanjden
Since these are all originally Den, I would suggest they were
originally followers of whatever the Den religion. It seems
purely transmittable? Is lycanthropy inheritable? It's possible
that they are starting to decide that they don't want to follow
Den religion - but what to put in its place - they are still
searching for their god/goddess. Some may be trying to copy the
Neskar religion, but maybe changing it to better reflect their
       own nature?
       The Morvoren
The Lord of Storms and the Singing Lady. He is the sky, so is
temperamental, changeable. Can be pleasant, or terrible if
angered. A warrior god, the lightning. She is the sea, and they
see her as singing/calling to them always. Sometimes (most
times) the songs are peaceful, but when the Lord of Storms is
angered, her songs can be vicious/violent (sirens/banshees?)
       The Piski
They have been around so long, it would be right that their gods
have been around longer. Possibly rather than all-powerful gods,
       maybe animism/totems?
       The Bocka
They may have been followers of some other religion, but if
brought back by a necromancer, possibly their previous god
relinquishes their soul/spirit to a new god. Lord Scythe (master
of death?) but still within this world, still necromancer.
Possibly the undead see him as a prophet of their new religion?
Maybe he sees himself this way, maybe he sees himself as a
master of death - or maybe he is (Voldemort-style) just trying
to escape death? However - death god/goddess - androgynous,
neuter, faceless? There may be many warrior gods who can send
souls through death - but only the Gatekeeper rules the doorway!
And like any god, the Gatekeeper can be persuaded, tricked, or
blinded. Possibly keys or locks as symbols for this one. I would
also suggest that also although all the Bocka turn to this one,
other species may know/revere this one also - although generally
to turn the glance the other way!
       The Neskar
The moon is important to them. Also, the hunt. So possibly a god
of the hunt, maybe carnivore based, and a goddess of the moon?
Possibly one more reason for them to hate the lycanthropes -
maybe they think the lycanthropes are appropriating their
religion and not doing it right!
       The Gwer
Ancestor worship for these I think. The sick/twisted games they
play could be their sacrifices to their ancestors. They would
believe that the ancestors fed on the pain - or possibly the
blood, or even the death - of the sacrifice. The more they feed,
the more influence they could have on the descendents luck! This
would also mean no 'evil' gods on this side of the Chaosgate,
leaving that to the demons on the other side!
       The Pryv
I would suggest a small pantheon for these, with each following
their own particular god within the pantheon, all of whom are
children of the Queen, the Mother. The gods are specialised to
the different things the Pryv value - warrior, assassin,
diplomat.... I assume possibly worker/drone types also?
       The Plantae
Worship the Worldtree. It encompasses all within its peaceful
sphere. Plantae who die become one with the tree. Neither male
nor female, it stands for peace/harmony.
       The Kramvil
Would Kramvil keep their word once given (as typical dragon) or
not? Do what thou wilt is the whole of the law. Possibly a triad
of gods - the trickster god as father, the claw goddess as
mother, and the world as their egg? Trickster is sly but can be
playful - or testing. Claw goddess is sharp, cuts through
deception, deals in absolutes. The egg is the child god the
Kramvil are waiting for - why? Possibly to cleanse the world of
other races and leave it to them again.

       ---------------------------------------------------------
And the other set of suggestions:
Den - A vaguely Judeo-Christian inspired god (perhaps inspired
by the dwarves, but thinking of the sky rather than the ground)
Korr - The Deep King of Darkness and Steel.
Koth and Skeus-Koth - Two warring twin brothers and their
mother, each taking the side of one of the brother gods, and
both claiming he is the rightful heir to his mother's power. One
god of fire and one of water, both birthed by the mother goddess
of creation, who died on the birthing bed and became the
       merciful goddess of death.
Karrek and Piski - Not quite sure what to suggest here, but as
the Piski made the Karrek it should be similar.
Derey-Tava - probably belong to the culture of their non-demonic
       parent.
Lycanthropes - As Den, or a moon goddess (depending on whether
they embrace their lycanthropic side or not)
Moroven - The shelled one, the finned one and the soft one. The
first of honour and defence, the second of progress and attack,
the third of subtlety and change. Often depicted as a turtle or
crab, a shark or dolphin and an octopus or jellyfish (depending
on which aspect of each of the three you want to venerate).
Bocka - the religion from when they were alive or Lord Scythe as
the embodiment of the god of death.
Neskar - Native American inspired gods of all the animals,
venerating their animal ancestor spirits, the hunt, honouring
       the prey etc.
Gwer - The twisted god, neither man nor woman, multitude nor
singular, all things and nothing, the howling madness in the
darkness that lives in the souls of the greenskinned and echoes
in the screams of their victims.
Pryv - the Gohi worship the hive, the communal strength they are
all a part of. Most of the other Pryv believe in themselves and
       in the forest.
Plantae - The goddess of the green, brown, red and black, or the
flower, thorn, fruit and root. Almost always depicted as female
and using female pronouns, she is nevertheless considered both
genders (like many plants). A four aspect goddess, related to
the seasons and their ability to change yet remain steadfast.
Kramvil - The Dragon Mother, who hatched the first brood of
Kramvil to live upon her creation, to keep it safe for the long
time before the world hatches and lays a new egg for a new
       world.
