Mission Oversight. A business trip to far.

Hei had stopped off a the local shops within Konoha before his
scheduled mission. Though he had done several missions over the
last few years. They have been utter trash given to him by the
Hokage. He left he was under appreciated and wasting away in the
ranks of ninja. Forced to do several school teaching
substitution and even work in the administration building form
time to time filing papers and passing out ninjas jobs. It was
degrading for someone who scored top marks in several academic
courses when he was in the academy. All cause his Jounin flunked
him out of his team. Though removed from the squad system he had
enough talent to remain ninja but not run any official missions.
That was until today. They had been understaffed lately even
more so with all the new genin surfacing causing Jounin ninja to
have to shift their focus towards training the plebs. Because of
this, lower ranked missions were being completed in record
numbers while c rank missions and higher began to stagger. The
more advanced missions were handed out to Chuunin and higher but
they made an exception for Hei for being a genin for so long. He
was granted a C rank escort mission from Konoha out to some town
in the middle of the forest. No bandits or ninjas on that path
so there was no true reason to give a entire squad an escort
mission when they could easily pick up several d missions in a
days work instead.

Hei accepted the request but the sword he had bought several
years ago had been misplaced. He had never needed it so he
neglected to store it properly prompting his shopping trip to
the market. After a bit of looking he was able to find a
shortsword in a velvet black case. He had tested the sword in
the store to comprehend it's condition before talking the
store's clerk down a notch. After all the clerk wasn't the owner
so parking with a item with 1 gold less wasn't going to hurt his
income.
Hei's pockets were light and the armor in display were far to
expensive for him. After the sword there was no way he would be
able to talk to clerks down to a mere gold. They might be day
workers but they would surly lose their jobs if they didn't at
least make some profit margin.
Hei collected his confidence before meeting the client at the
gates of town. The client was a young man maybe in his early
twenties. He had finished some business deal in konoha and was
worried about the wildlife he saw on his way to Konoha the first
time. Hei reassured him he would be fine if he just stayed
closed to him and on the main path.
About a few hours into their trip things changed as the sun
began to turn an autumn color. The wolves in the local area had
already started hunting and for some reason Hei had crossed into
one of their territories prompting a wolf to rush out of the
treeline. Hei yelled for the man to stay back and he prepped his
sword.
Wolf stats:
HP: 15
STR: 12 (+1)
DEX: 15 (+2)
CON: 12 (+1)
INT: 3 (-4)
WIS: 12 (+1)
CHA: 6 (-2)

The wolf got the first blow due to his high speed. Lashing out
of the woods he jumped into the air in a straightforward attack.
But it's moves were to easy to catch on allowing Hei to gain the
advantage and dodge the blow.

Hei had been rusty at this battle stuff. Quickly striking
through the air with a random stab of his blade wasn't going to
cut it. Causing the world to side step the attack.

The wolf hand used this close range attack to sink his fangs
directly into Hei the fangs caused bleeding from Hei's right arm
as the fangs dug into it's mark. (Hei's health reduced to 6)

Hei released a welp of pain but didn't give into it. Throwing
his sword from his right to his left hand he stabbed the wolf
deep into the gut prompting for the wolf to release it's target
screaming in pain of it's own. (Wolf HP 7)

The wolf sprang forwards ready to dig it's fangs into it's
target once more. But this time Hei was ready.
{19 v 7}
Hei put the wolf at a disadvantage. Throwing his sheeth into the
face of the wolf forcing to to bite down dealing it's damage to
the metal object instead.

Hei tried to strike out at the wolf only to see it retreat
backwards before snarling and barking in response like some
rabid dog.
{17 v 10}
Hei blocked the incoming attack of the dog lashing outwards at
him once again with his sheath. As great as this was for Hei not
to die he was dealing with the pain of losing stamina quickly
for each block he did like this. (Hei loses 1 HP from stupidity
5 remain)

Hei lost his footing as he was going to go for an attack causing
the dog to lash out at him trying to go for his throat.
{nat 20 v 14}
The dog on top of Hei growled and runted as he savagely struck
down onto the be blocked once again by the sheath if it wasn't
for this sheath Hei's life would of been forfeit.
{nat 20}
Hei got a pissed off look in his eyes as if fighting for his
life had pushed him into a state of adrenaline unseen by his
natural dull expression. Pulling the sword with his left hand he
pushed it directly into the eye socket of the wolf. Causing it
to scream and welp trying to pull it away. But it's teeth had
been locked on the sheet pinning it in place as blood washed
over Hei's body and he struck the wolf again and again
guaranteeing the killing blow. (8 damage, wolf died)
The corpse of the wolf fell onto Hei's body before pushing it
off. Hei raised to his feet looking up at the man before
throwing a relaxed look and a thumbs up.
"No need to help. It's all in a day's work."
Hei raised himself back up to his feet and began to walk the
client safely the rest of the way to his home.

Hei having completed his assigned mission was accepted into the
village where he was allowed to rest after fighting the mangy
wolf that had bit his arm. With the help of some towns people
they were able to patch up his arm and allow him a meal before
sending him back on the road. Though he was refreshed and the
wound no longer hurt. He still had the bandages on his arm to
show that he had recently been injuries.

The smell of the blood on the bandages brought out two weasels
which attacked him on sight. A Giant Weasle burst out of the
brush latching onto Hei. Who had tried to block the attack but
failed to react in time causing it to do some damage (5 done, 6
remaining)

Hei kept his composure as the bandage soaked up the blood
noticed a second weasel and struck it down with a single bow. (4
damage it had 3hp it died)

The giant weasel pissed off from the loss of its command land
onto Hei's arm once again. It was determined for vengeance
causing Hei to cry out in pain. The wound was much larger this
time from the second bite going into his arm. (4 damage, 2
remaining)
{Nat 20}
Hei takes his sword and drives it deep into the skull of his
enemy. The Giant Weasle's body flails around after a screen that
is quickly silenced. The body's remaining nerves finish
struggling as Hei looks over his victorious deeds. (9 damage to
6 hp killing it on impact.)
