Squad Day! Iwagakure's Next Generation!

Chirai walks out the front door before the sun manages to break
past the mountain rages. He takes a long look around, seeing
that the people of the town were already at work in the fields.
The town itself was rather quiet as Chirai started making his
way to it. He walks the closest path to lead him back his
original direction; Iwagakure. He does it so he can pass by
those kids' house. The little girls' doll in hand, he lays it at
the footing of the front door before he keeps walking.

As Chirai makes his way to the path out of Whitehill, he notices
a merchant pulling his own cart in to town. He waves at Chirai
fervishly and to the men posted at the gate. He takes a deep
breath and takes on a charge towards the local market, when his
wheel hits a rock.
The wagon he pulls tilts and topples, and with the speed it was
going, couldn't be stabilized. As it starts to topple over, a
large man catches the wood with one hand while the other held a
small flask in the air.
"Sir! You seem to be having some wheel trouble! Rocky roads like
ours will do that, oh yes they will! I got just the oil you
need!"
The large man applies his massive weight to the cart and starts
to level it out again. As he does, the flask tilts from his
hands. The latch holding a couple of badgers is somehow the
target of the drops. As he flips the cart back, the cage is
rattled and the latch slips free like it were held by water. In
no time at all, the two badgers leap from the cage and rush to
the dirt floor. The timid nature they once had became a growling
ferocity aimed at everyone around.
Chirai stared at the scene, confused. He couldn't really call
out the peddler for being a bad owner at the moment. He groans
and looks to the local guard. They started to smile and cross
their arms. Apparently, this place was dull as ever and any
entertainment was needed. But Chirai was a ninja.. any chance to
prove to people he'd protect them as the Tsuchikage was
important to him.
"Woah there little guys.. lets not get crazy.."
**Encounter: 2 Badgers**
Str: 4, Dex: 11, Con: 12, Int: 2, Wis: 12, Cha: 5, AC:10, HP: 3
Bite: +2 to hit, reach 5 ft, 1 target, 1 damage

Badger A: rushes towards the cart owner to bite on to his ankle.
It darts across the floor with a growl and readies its fangs,
aimed for him perfectly. The cart owner starts to stamp his feet
in defiance, trying to scare the beast from him. Something about
the way he treated them must've triggered the little guy,
because it stopped in its tracks, 5 ft from him.
Badger B: Follows up what its mate tried to start. It runs
across the floor with its fangs easy to see and their target
even clearer. As it leaps from the ground however, it runs clean
underneath the foot of the cart owner. It lands on the other
side of him, 5ft from his as well. It spins arouns to lock in on
the man again, having the element of surprise stolen.
Chirai: In an effort to keep the badgers from bleeding out over
the road, Chirai didn't pull for his kunai. Instread he balls up
his fists and takes a sudden deep breath.
"Don't worry! Chirai Koma, Kirigakure's most promising shinobi
is here!"
Chirai declares himself as he leans forward, trying to let those
around him understand that he had the situation under control.
Persuasion roll: nat 20
As Chirai speaks, everyone stops and stares at him, noticing the
headband he had on. The way he readied himself for combat was
more than they were prepared to do. A rush of ease takes over
the onlookers.
"Yes, please help me! Their cage is on the cart! Please don't
hurt them", said the cart owner. Being so capable, he thought
this a small task to ask.
Chirai leaps forward and barely hears the second part of what
the man said. He drags his hand from his waist and throws it for
the creature's throat.
Grapple: Success
Chirai binds Badger A to his chest and holds it still with his
one arm coiled in to himself. He wrestles slightly with it to
keep it help with he has his eyes on the other one.
"Come on little guy, come on.."

Badger A: Wrapped up in Chirai's arms, the creature wiggles its
hardest and swipes its paws at Chirai's arm to try and free
itself. It keeps making uncomfortable noises all the while,
keeping its sights set on the cart owner. Sometimes it spared a
scowl for Chirai.
Escape grapple: fail
The badger can't manage to budge in the man's grip, but it still
doesn't let up either.
Badger B: Lined up with his prey, the small beast makes a lunge
for the Cart owner's ass now.
Bite cart owner ass: fail
It fails as the scared man swings his hips out the way again,
nearly stumbling over his own feet. The creature lands on the
opposite end of him again, digging its feet in to the floor,
preparing to strike again.
Chirai: Chirai's grip on his original captive manages to hold
long enough for him to reach out for the second one that had now
planted itself down in front of him.
Grapple check: fail
Somehow, his hand reaches straight for the ground and lands on a
bit of wood that chipped from the wheel. It causes an instant
discomfort, leaving more than a few splinters in its place. He
catches his whole body from falling to the floor by accident
with his knee. Still, he kept Badger A bound in his arm.

Badger A: Continues its struggle to free itself, finding itself
making a little more way out of Chirai's arm.
Escape grapple: Fail
By what felt like reflex, the boy's arms flexed again, holding
the badger in place. Now it was starting to get aggrivated and
started throwing its head around in Chirai's grasp, trying to
snap at his face if it could've reached.
Badger B: Notices its partner in the binding hold of another
human. It turns to Chirai and growls wildly as it leaps in to
sink its teeth on the arm that held its friend captive.
Attack: success
Cart man dodge: Fail
The cart owners tries to keep his feet in motion, as it had
worked so far. This time though, his flesh was met with the
painful teeth of the badger sinking in to his calf. The growling
stopped by now that the man swung his leg with a little fuzzy
beast on it, he started to freak out worse than before.
Chirai: Chirai's eyes stretch wide open as the badger hit its
mark. He starts to shh from between his lips, hoping to calm
the man down so he could get in a little closer. The distracted
little animal shifted its gaze to Chirai's incominjg arm and
faced a tough decision between being swiped up and continuing to
hold on to its former captor.
Grapple: Success
Chirai stands up tall with one badger under each armpit,
releasing a sigh of relief. He was fumbling where he stood to
keep both of them under control, so he looks to the hefty man
who'd flipped the cart back over.
"Uhh, could you pass me the.."
He motions his chin towards the cage the two little ones came
out of. Being a bystander the whole time, the man nods towards
Chirai, impressed. In the next moment, there was a steel cage
with its gate swung wide open for Chirai to stuff the badgers in
one by one. Once they made it in, the boulder of a man slams the
door shut and slides in the latch, holding it there for the
moment.
**Disaster Averted**

The cart oner takes a deep breath and bows before Chirai,
eternally grateful for his assiatance.
"Thank you, thank you! These badgers are so rare and.. and.. I
don't know what I would've.. THANK YOU!"
He bowed even lower, recognizing Chirai as a great asset to the
country. The act made the young genin a little swelled in his
head. He couldn't keep watching and closed his eyes while he
smiled ear to ear, taking in the grace.
"Hehe, well.. It was nothing.."
He looks to everyone around, making sure everyone was fine. He
nods his hea and waves as he darts off towards Iwagakure to meet
with his squad for the first time today.
"See ya old man! Good luck with those little guys!"
Inside, he wanted to set the little guys free. Unfortunately, he
was already running late and had to hurry back to the village.
He couldn't do too much right now. Without much time, the town
was in Chirai's background and he was back on the road.

Chirai keeps on the path towards Iwagakure when he hears a
sudden booming voice coming from behind a couple of rocks, 20ft
to his side. He stops where he is, intrigued. He groans,
figuring he was already late to get back to the village, but the
voice kept begging for help. Chirai sighs and clenches his fists
as he skips off to the side of the road, looking for the source.
"Help! Hellllpp!"
Chirai pushes his index finger into his ear canal and clears it
out, while soothing it at the same time.
"Alright, alright.. geez.."
Chirai looks curiously at the man, unsure what he was looking
at. Someone buried alive, but he didn't have an headband on or
anything. He didn't know if he should help honestly. Chirai
walks over to the head above dirt and squats down, observing
curiously.
"Who are you?"
"I-I'm Kensei! Help me out of here!"
Chirai looks at the man again, figuring he must really be in a
bind to ask for this kind of help. His hand started to drift to
his ninja pouch to pull out a Kunai until the head's eyes flared
open and he stated screaming.
"STOP STOP! PLEASE! I'M JUST A MAAAAN"
He started crying, figuring his life was soon to end. Watching,
Chirai started to cringe, uncomfortable with a weak man before
him in a tough situation. The more he cried, the more it twisted
the genin's stomach until he gave up and reached for his head to
pull him free from the ground.
"Grrraahh..."

As Chirai pulled the man from the ground, his body popped out in
the form of a.. a.. it was a spider. The man landed on the
ground, human head on 8 legs of fuzzy evil, cackling from
receiving its freedom. Its legs skitter over to Chirai in an
attempt to shake his hand but his pupils had already run to the
back of his head and his mouth left swamped with foam. The young
genin falls unconscious on the ground with nothing left for the
spider man than to scurry off in to the forest. Who knows when
he would be seen again.
*Chirai Unconscious for 1 hour*

In an hour's time, the young man comes to. He looks around, with
no sign of anyone around him. All that seemed to click with his
memory was the shallow hole in front of him. The longer he
looked at it, the more his stomach twisted, dragging his legs up
from the floor. Chirai takes a deep breath and walks himself
back to the road leading to Iwagakure. Dusting the dirt from the
back of his head, he groans, trying to forget what just happened
to him.
"That was.. oh my god.."
