Personality: Young man with a silver tongue. He was raised in a
small noble family giving him a bit of a snobbish behavior while
adjusting his personality at times to trick others into getting
what he wants. However when it comes to self sacrifice he
doesn't know what that means and will resist it at all costs.
Background: Heki was raised as a member of an elite family
within a small village. Their power and influence put his father
as town elder. His job was to rule over the small village and
negotiate all external trades. With the aid of the Yori family,
the town grew to a meritocracy of wealth. Allowing most of the
members within the town to never go hungry or worry about
financial worries for such a small town. All people within the
village of course have greater wants but with time and the
steady inflow of income they would be able to buy such luxuries
with time. Heki was an exception having been born with a silver
spoon in his mouth he has never truly known what it means to
strive for anything. Being granted access to exterior tutors at
a young age, Heki was being raised to take the reigns of the
entire family name when he was to come of age. His three
brothers and two sisters wouldn't inherit the family position
instead they would be allowed to leave the village when they
came of age or joined the others within the village.
One day a traveler came to the village seeking aid. He was a
shinobi of the hidden leaf wounded after a long mission had gone
south. The mission was completed but at great cost to him and
his team costing the other squad members their lives. The man
was of adult age roughly mid to late twenties. His injuries were
grievous but not life threatening. Heki agreed to supply the
ninja with aid from their mother who was the town's medic. After
treating the ninjas wounds, Heki approached the ninja about
getting some training beyond text books that his other mentors
had bestowed upon him sense he was a child. He struck a deal to
learn what it meant to be a ninja in hopes that it could further
young Heki's ambitions.
The ninja reluctantly agreed as Heki had leveraged the man's
charity over the refuge seeking shinobi. With the help of the
ninja Heki learned the basics of chakra control only for his
training to cut short after about a week. A group of bandits who
the ninja had quarreled with had gotten wind of his location and
looked onto the small town of Noharagakure. It was at that
moment the towns peace ended. Any man who got in the bandits
path were cut down rendering the small town of ten families into
a smaller state even yet. Heki's father tried to stop the men
from their rampage but was caught within their rampage ending
his life. The bandits focused their assault on the Yori house
finding the wounded ninja taking his life just as easy as
blowing out a candle.
The groups forces were low thanks to the shinobi and their final
act of attrition was to take all the women from the village as
their prize. Trying to protect the younger sisters, Heki's
brothers were beaten and taken by the bandits to be trained to
be useful later. His sisters and mother were also taken. Heki
didn't care what happened to everyone else, he had to live. So
he hid within a small cellar within the house pushing a rug over
its as he slipped into his hiding place allowing his entire
family to disappear. After reemerging many hours later to a
burning village. He found only three families remain within the
village. All were without spouses or children that had been able
to hide from the aggressors. Heki vowed to them to take his
fathers place as head of the village and find a new way to
protect who remain. This was the story of how Heki Yori became
the leader of the Noharagakure village if you could even really
call it a village anymore.
