The Cave

Victor had spent the night resting in the room before awaking
ahead of his adventures. He was a bit less tired than his
companions due to the lack of damage and energy exerted in
combat prompting him to awake sooner and wait just outside the
front door of the establishment. There a crimson red sun greeted
him good morning as it began to peak over the distance
stretching out towards the city. It was here he would wait for
his companions to gather.

Flaik would be the next to exit the inn sometime after Victor.
With his backpack full and on his back, his staff in his right
hand, shield in the other, and his mind ready for the day ahead.
Seeing Victor, he joins him and waits for their last companion.
"Excited about slaying some goblins?"

After watching both Victor and Flaik head out into the town Lyra
decides its time to head out herself. After gathering all her
equipment she proceeds outside.
“I know I am, annoying pests goblins can be” she says in
response to Flaiks question, as she walks up behind them

Victor rises from his seat on the steps looking back at the two
members of his party who had gathered.
"Never done with the green folk before. Normally deal with
humans, not creatures. It will be good to taste a new type of
blood."
Victor tosses his backpack onto his back causing it's contents
to shift as its thrown. Lastly Victor grabs his great axe and
straps it to his back before he is ready to head out.
"I've gathered the directions of the nest, seems to be about 2
hours north of here."
He started walking off in the direction without even checking in
assuming they were ready.

Flaik gives a nod to Lyra’s remark, ”And I’m sure there’ll be
plenty to go through.”, he replies to Victors remark.
As Victor starts heading out, Flaik follows suit, ”Someone’s
surely ready!”

“He’s always ready” Lyra says in reply to Flaiks last statement
Lyra catching up to walk in stride next to Victor “ you’ve
really never fought goblins before? They are everywhere and
usually always causing trouble for people”

As the group travels down the road leading towards the goblin
hideout they run into a few dead horses sprawled out across the
road with several black-feathered arrows sunk into each of the
horses. The woods have overgrown a bit an encased parts of the
trail ahead with several brushes that could result in an easy
ambush. (please roll a dex check to see if you are taken by
surprise. (24 17 14 26))

Victor responded to Lyra before they had left town with a
simple.
"No, I lived in Baldur's gate for most of my life. No goblins
within city walls. Wasn't until recently that I took a boat to
Neverwinter and ended up here."
The group walked quite a distance before noticing the group of
downed horses within the road. Prompting Victor to grab his Axe
after seeing two goblins in the corner of his eye.

Lyra seeing the dead horse pulls out her spyglass(cast guidance)
and begins to look for trouble you ahead.
Spotting two goblins Lyra nudges Flaik “up ahead 2 goblins lying
in ambush” ( advantage on Flaiks perception check)

Acknowledging Lyra’s information, Flaik begins to chant an
incantation. As he finishes, he raises his staff a few feet into
the air and then slams it back to the ground. Using his Entangle
spell, he targets the area pointed out to him. From the area and
up to 20 feet around it, weeds and vines erupt from the ground.
Aiming to snare the unsuspecting goblins in the vines and hold
them.
He concentrates on his spell, holding it steady. Ready to drop
it for his companions should they need to get in range.
