Locke cringes a bit as the giant rat comes out from hiding, his
skin crawls as he see's it but he clenches his fists once more.
"Let's just end this already!"
Locke rushes in quickly towards the Giant Rat, sliding in front
of it before kicking his foot upwards towards it's face.

Locke slams his foot into the bottom of the rats face causing it
to flip in the air rapidly from the impact. (7)

Locke then quickly reaches out grabbing it's tail and swinging
it's large body over his shoulder, turning around and slamming
it directly onto the floor of the house (5). He let's go of the
tail sighing as he looks around for anymore.
"That should be it..."

Callie is shocked into silence for the first time after
witnessing Locke's impressive display. If she had tried to clear
out the house on her own, she might have ended up as lunch. It
takes her a few seconds to recover from the surprise, but she
finally musters up a response.
"That was amazing! I'm glad you came in here with me, mat- Erm..
What was your name? I'm Callie."
Her entire tone had changed from when she had first met him. She
flies up over his shoulder, landing on top of it.
"We made a pretty good team back there, don't you think?"

Locke sighs before looking up at the fairy talking to him. She
seemed to have lightened up her tone a bit since he had first
met her just a bit ago.
"Huh? They were just rats."
Though when she introduces herself he smiles in response.
"Ah! My names Locke Banshee. Nice to meet ya."
As she lands on his shoulder he starts to walk towards the door
before he responds to her.
"Huh? Really? I guess we were, it did go pretty smoothly."

"Yeah! You get it! I can already see it! Locke Banshee and
Callie Talrien, adventurers extraordinaire! Doesn't that just
sound the bee's knees?"
Callie paces around atop his shoulder, then leans against the
side of his jawline, patting his cheek lightly.
"Where are you headed after this, anyway? I want to get out of
town soon, and having a traveling partner would just be the
best. Especially one as sturdy as you, Locke, my man."

"You want to join me? I don't mind but I'm taking on a pretty
dangerous quest."
He crosses his arms as he walks through the door way towards the
crying woman.
"I'm looking for the greatest treasure in the land! The Great
Echo Cave!"
He smiles as he speaks about his goal it obviously made him very
excited.

"Danger is my middle name! Or it would be, if I had one. I'd be
happy to join you, mate!"
Callie was also excited. Not only had she fulfilled the goal she
set out to accomplish in the rat-infested house, but she had
also managed to score a pretty capable traveling partner. It
might be helpful to have someone of his size around anyway, she
thought. The frightened woman they were helping didn't seem to
pay much mind to her presence. She might not have even gotten
the chance to do the job if not for Locke.
"Guess we should go report to the bird, then."
She gestures towards the door.

Locke nods his head as he heads out the door, he steps out
looking down at the crying woman with a smile, he leans down
slightly placing his hand onto her shoulder.
"It's alright now. You done crying yet?"
