       Stihl carbide chain

Broke and mended that stihl carbide chain down to a 72DL and
used it on the 4000. Was like cheating cutting that dry dirt
       encrusted root ball stump up.
Very impressed how it can just keep on going when a regular
       chain dies quickly.
       Stihl 3/8 050 74dl 33RD broke down to make 72dl
Makes me wonder how good the forester carbide chains hold up. In
pics I see you notice on forester the carbide part is lot less
       shown.
As you can see 063 at top of drive link like most of us know
       that do the stihl chains.

       I bought another stihl carbide from a local in 3/8 063 72DL.
Figured since I found this 063 bar on shelf could set 2 saws up
       if needed.

Being I got 2 of these pricey stihl carbide chains now. 1 on
       4000 in 050 and 1 on a G466 in 063.
We had a good thread on sharpening them. The files were a no go
for time spent. The dremel ones worked for some folks I trust
       for info.
But best feedback come from a good friend with one of these on
       his grinder too.
Thanks Chad for your feedback in that carbide thread. Black
Friday sell going on with 10% off and Free shipping.
Merry Christmas to me. I'll tell wife she bought it for me.

I was doing some more root cutting with the stihl carbide chain
       on the G466 with 20".
The roots I was cutting this year I didnt need all of that at
all. I was laughing at myself thinking total overkill.
So I want to look for a carbide chain set up for a small saw.
Somewhere between echo 25cc -50cc saws I have.
So off on the hunt for 3/8LP or .325 carbide chain to run on
       small saws.

Well got that job figured out and a guy in my group had a good
       idea.
I forgot I even had all this stuff. I already had carbide blades
       and a sawszall.
Worked perfect for getting this light weight type of small root
cutting done. Was only few inches down in dirt rocks.
