Keith, I appreciate the offer. I'll let you know for sure as
soon as I can. This is a friends saw and I 'm putting together a
parts list and prices to run by him.

Searching that part number turned up a whole set for the saw on
ebay.

I know this thread is 4 years old ,but from what I found , the
Stihl ignition coil, 0000 400 1306 will work on my old 020 AVP
electronic . This saw had the 2 piece ignition with the trigger
unit under the flywheel . Hopefully it works with the original
flywheel. Does anyone have any experience with this fix?

Just a follow up for anyone who cares.The flywheel in my 020
that had the 2 piece electronic ignition that went bad , works
with the 0000 400 1306 coil I replaced it with. I also bought a
points ignition 020 that has the same flywheel so that could
work with this coil also, minus the points and condenser.
