Per David Smith at CCC Racing at his stihl shop down by him.
Ballpark is $26,000, there are a few options to make it cleaner
or faster that can add to the price.
In the local Stihl dealership they love it, in 6 minutes it will
do a chain nicely unattended and a light on top signals when it
is time to stick a new chain on it. The machine is in the middle
of the 2 cycle area of the shop and which ever tech sees it
first swaps chains and goes back to whatever he was doing. It
runs 8 hours a day with minimal maintenance, and they are able
to keep the wait time for drop off chains usually in the 2-3 day
timeframe. They can slip an emergency chain into the que if
needed. Many tree services drop off 100 or more at a time and
get special pricing. They could not hire an additional tech for
a year for $26K, even before benefits, taxes, etc. They love it.

Stihl dealer in CRG said they were $18,000 new. I was told 15K
years back.
If those 44"-60" come here. I told him going up to him. So mise
well send them himself. I hate doing longer chain and bulk of
them at that.

Local just north of me does chain only local and online.
His old shop and wiring could only take 5 franzen running and
had more waiting.
Now his new shop almost done he is running 8 with 2 more coming.
