Is this piston/cylinder to far gone?

Hello not sure if this is the right forum but couldnt find a
better option to post in so its here.. Anyway i was curious are
these to far gone or if it would get the job done without
causing further damage. The piston has only the one bad spot
here but its a good piece missing.. The cylinder on the exhaust
side has some spots just above and below the exhaust port. I
tried to get the best lighted and focused pics i could. To me id
assume they are to far gone but ive no real experience when its
still ok or shot. I just recently got my compression tester and
it had a seized up ring so i couldnt test any compression before
i tore it apart and the seized ring snapped coming out so im
stuck wondering order a whole kit..or jsut rings.. maybe piston
and rings? any advice would be appreciated thanks a bunch. And
any scratches in the photos are surface scratches they are very
smooth to the touch beside the big one on the piston and the
pieces on the cylinder.

IMO you can clean the transfer and scuffs up in the cylinder.
Making sure none of the scuffing is through the plating. Use a
pick or fingernail to try and make sure not gouged.
Also looks like ring caught in the opening and did some damage.
Would need to fix the bevel etc back.
Piston IMO toast. New piston kit min. If all wont clean up
might be time for a p+c kit.
Is this that freebie salvage find? You will want to find out
way it did this in the first place before thrown another topend
on it. JMO
Is this the 441?

Yes its the 441... The gouges on the exhaust port are fairly
deep.. you defiantly get a nail caught on them probably beyond
resurfacing. And for the cause im not positive yet. What
research i could find and which matched this saw could have been
either over heated from gunk build up.. possibly to many cold
starts straight to work? Still trying to diagnose that problem
not sure where to go next?

To be honest, I've thrown away better than that. New P+C kit
would be my way to go- especially with yours in that condition.
You might get away with just a piston, but if not, then you've
got to do the job twice...doesn't make sense
