044 ring end gap

Just curious, what should the ring end gap be on a stock 044?
Have new piston on way and want to check it.

This info is straight from lakeside a pnw stihl tech. = New I
see about 5-8 thou on an 044. (measured in the bottom "unworn"
area of the bore).

No clue anymore. Lost his info over the years with puter
changes.
I used to get stihl square files from him back in the day.
Locals couldnt get the stihl ones here for some reason.
