       044 impulse and intake boot

       How in the world do you get those two back on their respective
       saw locations.  The intake boot is fairly easy but that impulse
       line and nipple are really hard to get at.  Any tricks here?
       And while we're on it .... No special tools here.  Having to
       jury rig fittings and such (pressure/vac tests).  I've seen the
       screw method of pulling seals.  Not much meat to work with on
       those seals.  Any other way (except seal puller(remember, no
       special tools in house))?
       Again, no special tools .... How to get the fly wheel off?

       for the impulse line,remove the anti vibration mount screw and
       push down on the rear handle which then opens up the space
       for the line into case.After that,pull nipple into the carb box
       using
       a drop or 2 of oil on the tip to facillitate the pull

       Pres,
       I was never able to get that impulse out of the carb box.
       Wanted to since it looked easier to put back together.  All the
       AVs are loose so I'm able to jokey everything around but still
       can't get the impulse all the way on the brass nipple.  I'm
       afraid once saw is running that it will work it's way off.
       My problem at this moment is seals.  Clutch side leaking big
       time.  I'm assuming the fly wheel side is the same.  Task for
       today is order seals and pull that fly wheel.

       When I first started doing redneck repairs I used a drywall
       screw.  But years back I made this for the tiny fly side 026 and
       been using it on everything since. = much easier
       Oh I just did 2 066 impulse lines. I dont use oem molded lines.
       I use the same echo oem 3mmx6mm black lines for impulse lines.
       Only thing you hook it up on carb and not just slide into base.
       Just the way I started doing them.
       Havent tried this on a 44 yet. GL
       The 44 I did that got smashed I had pulled tank and done oem. So
       no help with info.

       I have long straight and curved forceps to help with that and
       yes on recoil off.

       Pulled the clutch side seal today.  Easy.  Now to that fly wheel
       side.  Gonna make one of those screw driver thingys and hope for
       the best.  That is a small area to work in.
