       McCulloch MS1434 NAV

       I am new here and did some small engine repair in my youth but I
       am a little rusty.  So I have a McCulloch MS1434NAV that was
       given to me because I enjoy tinkering with older saws.  The saw
       will start when fuel is sprayed into the carburetor but will not
       start otherwise.  Any suggestions on where to start on
       identifying the problem?

       Does above IPL look like the saw?
       I would be checking. 1 Is fuel filter connectected to fuel line
       in tank. 2 Is fuel line broken or cracked anywhere going to carb
       connection.   3 Carb checking to see if it needs a new carb kit.
       Diaphragms get stiff and wont draw fuel.
