I installed the new pump. However the drive gear (crank shaft)
and the pump gear dont make contact.
I put 2 and 1 oil in the pump input (large hole) 4 drops filled
it. Then i moved the gear with my finger. After a few rotations
the 2 and 1 oil moved out of the pump input thru the output.
Then i attached it to the lower section on the engine block. I
watched to make sure i wasn't screwing up any plastic gear teeth
and moving the crankback back and forth while tightening.
I could No longer see the metal crank or plastic pump gear mesh.
Next i tried to get the pump to pump by turning the flywheel.
       ???wth???
I read a post that spoke of the metal crank gear being warn. I
will check that tomorrow. Plan on micing the crank gear and
checking with the diameter of a replacement. In the mean time i
may use a little white paint to check a contact pattern.
