2 folks on CRB needing tanks. All updated tank set ups for 425
445 505. One for a 475 though.
Pulled 3 tanks down yesterday. 2 stripped bare.
1 SOLD and 1 wasnt good enough to sell so just a back up. Had
JB where a chain been thrown. Other left whole still. till I
find out how they want it.

Years back I ran into a issue updating a 415 to the updated tank
and air filter set ups.
Well been helping 2 guys out with this and one of them ran into
the same issue I had only 1 other time.
Some of the older carbs RIGHT one have the longer area on choke
that will hit new air filter base.
For me I just chose another carb. For him just file that area
away till clears when choke pulled.
Newer carbs LEFT. Older carbs RIGHT.
This is also for 475.
I only ever had this happen once. Now years later another.

There is Gen1 Gen2 Gen3 tanks for these.
Been helping a guy over the phone in Ohio with his poulan 415.
Gen1
He was telling me his tank is gapped at top.
Unlike the 2083 Gen3 he has.
Never seen one like he described. So had him send me a pic.
Other one is also a gen1 tank I have saved by another owner. Now
I have a clue as why it had 2 rivets there with something on
back side holding together there maybe.
Then one of my old ones in gen2 how supposed to be.

Since these tanks been harder to get for years now.
Going through the parts shelves of this series.
9 crankcases at different stages of being parted.
Only 3 tanks.
I got to see how bad that poulan gen3 is under the jb weld. That
a lot of it. 😂
Man just looking folks yank the crap out of them. Breaking
limiters off and av mount area. 😋
Saving the black gen3 tank from the jb fix someone did. 2 small
seeps of wetness after setting.
I will use sealall coating for that myself.
