       I.E. Failing - Stops Responding
By: breese Date: August 25, 2017, 6:00 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I have been having issues on this site only.
There are times when I.E. will indicate Long load times (E)
Spinning and not stopping, and then I get the error message that
       I.E. has stopped responding.
Running the Tools F12 Developer Tools, there are a number of
       issue with this site.
(I do not have these issues on other web sites)
All of these are the result of the Home Page or Show Unread

I havent use I.E. for years so no clue what is going on with
that. I use Firefox no problems there.
If this was recently troubles for you. =
Just set the site to Forum Use SSL
Reason why Google chrome is rolling out an update in October to
flag any non SSL https site that a flag as insecure.
       Notes:
Some things to keep in mind remote content if you are using SSL
HTML most be in https:// based to load. This mainly applies to custom
javascript in headers/footers and custom css. We proxy remote
       images inside posts automatically.
Also if you users of old browsers/computers SSL does not work on
       windows xp.

       I am using Win 7, I.E. Version 11
This is the only site I have been having these issues with.
Whatever the cause, it is not related to the machine / software
       I am using.

Come Oct forums will have to be using SSL too or google will
flag them. I just went ahead and did it ahead of time here.
Also if you users of old browsers/computers SSL does not work on
windows xp. XP and back being your still using 7 your in this
group. It is your old 7 IMHO
I could try something if I knew you were here. Unplug the SSL
and let you try. But like I said all places in Oct will have it
if this is your problem or they will be flagged on google.
Looking at your other post. You didnt have the trouble till I
plugged the SSl update due to start in Oct I talk about above.

Things appear to be better but I tracked this down...
If you close out of I.E. and go to this site, watch the Address
Line and the Busy Cursor... If it continues to stay busy, then
the issue will happen. If it Stops, all should be good.
A second method (following the first one) is to click on Show
       Unread Posts....
       Again, if it stays busy.....
