       Seen a new one out.

Anyone tried WD-40 Degreaser? Just figuring water based it might
be safe for cylinders and plastics.
Says won't harm sensitive surfaces like aluminum, copper, glass
and plastics. Might be good for ultrasonic cleaners too.
Bought some today to try on this guinea pig.

First try just sprayed waited a min and rinsed and got most
except for the heavy stuff. 2nd time used brush to get the heavy
compacted stuff. Not bad and didnt streak or discolor the
       aluminum or plastics.

I found a foam aerosol version at our local Canadian Tire store.
Pic of it here, $7.99 is not a bad price either. Haven't tried
       it yet.

Haven't tried it yet but told it's great stuff for sleds and
       motorcycles and also a polish.

2 stroke mix brushed on with a paintbrush and an air compressor
       seems to work pretty good.

       I grew up using Varsol.
Quit using it because it took out the cheap Chinese made washer
pumps we get today for my parts washer.

Before and after on this chainsaw
1 time 3mins soak, rinsed off with water hose with well water at
30-50psi max pump. So not much pressure there.
       Then started then wiped off.
