Hello, New here but not as new to chainsaws! Asking if anyone
has any new or even good used G3200 or G3200EZ Redmax
(Zenoah/Komatsu) chainsaws for sale at all? I know they been off
the market in North America for some time now but ya never know?

Seems they made a carving model from a redmax 3200.

The original G3200 EZ saw was lightened by leaving off a couple
homeowner bells and whistles that carvers would not need and set
up with the highest quality carving bar and quarter pitch chain.
…..and so the G3200 CV carver model was born.
Retail price for the RedMax G3200CV carver model with 12 inch
carving bar and chain is $379.95 US dollars.

Hi Cut4Fun, I know Brian & Jen Ruth of the "Masters of the
Chainsaw" & have bought many of these units from them as well as
other sources. I am always on the look out for more though & I
have quite a number of them now, I think 12 to 14?
       Thanks, Robbin

I've kept an eye out for a G3200 for some time, although I don't
       carve.
An interesting detail: Jenn Feng in Taiwan made a
McCulloch-branded version of the GZ4000, using their own
castings and moldings. The engine/chassis will swap (although
thread pitches are different), but all the plastic parts are
       just a little different.
Anyway, they must have lost the license to make the strato or
something, because somewhere along the way they started putting
out those ugly XM40 multi colored saws, as well as some more
normally styled McCulloch versions. But the chassis were a
little different, and after looking at them for a while I
realized they were G3200 clones with the strato 40cc engines
stuffed in. They just blocked off the strato ports and put a
bigger carb on the case intake. Top covers were a little taller
too. Even with the strato ports blocked it's still a nice quad,
       closed transfer cylinder.
I don't know what they weigh - probably a little more as the
       engine is likely heavier.

Hi Chris, That is interesting about the McCulloch being a GZ
4000 clone as I have a Ryobi that is the same as my GZ 4000 but
actually has a better choke button, primer as well as oil
adjuster so makes it actually a better version than the Redmax
with both having the strato- charge & working. I am interested
in this McColloch with the 40cc though as it may be able to be
lightened up too? Googled the MX40 & I see what you mean about
colours! Maybe they were trying to clean out the leftover bins
of plastics? I find the strato-charge works good with good power
but you must keep the rotator portion in the intake clean &
lubed or it sticks from time to time.
Thanks for the reply & info, Robbin

Don't believe Brian has any left for sale. I do have a prototype
GZ3500EZ and a production one as well but they are not for sale.
