       Cir clips

I have searched the damned internet from A to Z and can't for
the life of me find out where in the world you can buy wire
circlips .Now I know somebody some where sells them .One would
certainly think you wouldn't have to buy a million at a time
       either , like 10-20 maybe .

Thanks .I had looked up Wiseco but all I could find was
motorcycle cir clips which were a lot too large for a chainsaw
engine .Now I wonder how thick they are which is the problem
with a majority of after market clips .To damned thick .
I'm going to get an order together for MFG soon for some carb
kits .I'll order a few clips and check them out .

I had come across that company that makes those circlip
installation tools too. Looks like only 12mm and up though.

       Geeze 43 bucks a pop .
The ones I make you still have to start the clip in but it works
better than trying to shove them in with a screwdriver then
--twang ,in orbit to never return again .
The hand pinners at work use a nylon pusher with an aluminum
spring loaded collar .Set the clip in and shove it home, easy
       but it's like a 20 MM clip.
The bigger clips aren't that big of a deal but the 10's and
especially the little 8's are a real challange .

This is from an old Remington service bulletin.
Thought it might be a good patern for a tool if you need one.
Little slot on end removes clips very nicely. Good idea to cover
with a rag after engaging tool before prying clip out though.
Unless you like looking for part where ever they may go.

I ordered a bunch of electron tubes to fix the Monarch lathe .So
with any luck I should be able to crank out some circlip
       installers shortly .
It's a long story but the short of it is the fact it's an old
style thyratron electron tube DC voltage and field control for
probabley one of the finest toolmakers type lathe ever made
.I've been playing with that SOB for several years .One last go
at it and then I'm going to bite the bullit and shell out 1500
for a new solid state drive assembley .Might sound like a lot
but price a Monarch model 10 EE on flea bay sometime .Monarch in
Sidney Ohio gets between 7 and 10,000 bucks to change one over
to modern components .The last of this model they sold was to
United Airways for over 90 thousand dollars .I have 800 in this
       one .
This thing is so precise I could cut threads on a needle .
