Throttle cable

Hi, Guy's I'm working on a McCulloch chain saw model MS142 it
started out replacing oil lines for oiling the bar and in doing
that I had some problem's with the throttle cable the little tip
broken off on carb end the part is NA. I did find one from a
different McCulloch saw I can figure out how the throttle cable
goes in and lays flat for the throttle returns and top cover
fits on and throttle still work????
One more thing on the oil line going to the bar is that little
hose splice to slow the flow of oil to the bar for oiling
I'm new on here and didn't do much work on chain saws. I did 25
Years working for John Deere dealership mostly on Combines,
Choppers , and most of my time was on Skid Steers and some Lawn
& Garden tractors. It was the Skid Steers work that did my back
in!!
Thank You
