$20 Echo CS-310

I was going to pay $50.00 but the PO couldn't find the clutch
cover which is also the chain tensioner. I've been thinking
that I might be able to run it with an Intenze bar as the chain
adj is in the bar itself. I know not very safe to do. I hogged
out the cat, opened up the exhaust exit on the muffler and it
runs sweetly. Up here the clutch cover is $75 plus tax and
shipping OUch! Still nice little saw for $100. I'm hoping to
find one off a burned up saw.

I ran a 362xp without a clutch cover once for testing. Let just
say :o I ended up with a face full of chips. Even when just
test cutting.

So I think I've solved the problem affordably. I bought a
clutch cover off ebay which doesn't have all the bits that are
used for chain tensioning so it was cheaper than the complete
one. With this I'll use an Intenz bar which has the tensioning
in the bar. This way should save me about $45.00 which is a lot
for a used saw. The saw itself has seen very little work and
after I hogged the cat out and pulled the carb limiters runs
very sweetly. One just has to remember that it is only 30cc.

It runs great but not oiling yet. It has sat a long time go may
be just gunged up hope so. Actually interesting oil drive, only
pumps when the chain/clutch is moving! Surprising in an
inexpensive saw.

It's oiling well now. No sign of leakage out of the bottom as
other have reported, so far. Waiting to win an Intenz bar off
ebay.

Stupid me , I had a Intenz bar and it works just fine with the
stripped clutch cover. It will be interesting to see if it's OK
after doing some serious cutting. Still needs a tuning in wood.

Everything now sorted and it's a sweet little saw. Starts real
easy, idles nicely, revs out. Just have to remember that it's
only 30cc
