I have not seen one for almost 40 years. ;D I guess it depends
on how badly you want it, there is really no money in rebuilding
bars at today's prices. The hard tips are scarce except in the
hands of collectors and not much except hammering can be done to
sprocket nose. Start at $100 and see if he stays interested.

Hate to say it. But that is even more then I would pay. For the
reasons you stated already.

If it is in decent shape I may be interested. Do you all think
it will do harvester or slasher bars 3/4"?

Its in Nebraska. Check out Barshop thread in the how to basics
board. Maybe it tells more info on what they will do.

Nebraska is a little to far to travel. Maybe I will eventually
get my hands on one.

Bar grinder wtb
By: Mdnasci Date: January 26, 2020, 8:04 pm

I'm new to the forum. A search brought me here as I looked for
bar grinders and saw a barshop tool in a video. So I'll renew an
old thread on this forum in search of one for my home shop. I'm
aware that the company doesn't sell the tool anymore but the
grinding wheels are still available. My interests are in
obtaining a cool old tool for my personal use in upstate ny. I
imagine there is a chance that one is sitting around, unused,
covered in dust waiting to be found. Any suggestions or help
from members gratefully received.

The Barshop is not one I have seen a lot of. I guess if you
keep looking in the forum classifieds and on ebay something
could show up.
