Well i started the 415 today and it runs ok but is having
trouble idling, it will idle for 2 minutes and dies out. It will
start back up but will not idle for long by itself. I have the
idle set on the highest point, also the L screw does not seem to
do much. Any thoughts?

Yup mine is early model, now please give me pointers to fine
tune it. It will run and idle for about two minutes by itself.
Starts right back up. Does the impulse line need check valves
etc.

I did not do a vacuum test on it, I did turn the saw on its side
and upside down and it did not
Change idle speed.

Have you replaced the fuel line and fuel filter. I had a fuel

I did rebuild the carb but may need to go back in and set the
metering height to flush with top of metering deck. I set it to
flush with carburetor top
