Good little saw...same thing as a 667 just a tiny bit smaller
piston...I have a few videos floating around of mine...

Longest stroke of any 60cc class saw that I know of, 38mm.
Same body as the 667, and 680. I run a 662 in the 4 cube sa
class, and it has had no port work done to it, just a larger
carb. With a bit of porting it may be competitive!

They are a pro saw with the usual German over engineering,
have quad transfers with removeable covers, and very large case
with strong and heavy crank. The 662 I have weighs more than a
372. The cylinder is angled toward the back of the case like a
562xp, and has a low profile for such a long stroke. Stock port
timing was interesting, only 14° of blow down, and 166° of
exhaust duration.
They are kinda hard to find parts for, and top ends seem to
be scarce as no aftermarket manufacturer has produced any yet.

Different case then a 680. The 670, 680, 690 and 603 are on the
same platform.

Ummmmmmm, I'm not a hundred percent sure either way, but I
do know for sure that the 662/667/670/673/675/680 all have a
38mm stroke. The 690/694/603 have a 42mm stroke. How could the
cases be the same with a 4mm stroke difference.
Another interesting fact I have found on the 662/667, is that
they share the same cylinder base bolt pattern as a 7900 Dolmar,
as I used my Dolmar base plate to turn the jug.

I have a small pile of 667 parts. Jug,recoil,clutch cover,intake
manifold and enginecover/filter. Wouldn't mind finding a short
block. And learning some more about these.

I'm 100% sure they are different. I have them all and have torn
them all down and built them up. The crankcases and all the
parts are completely different on the 662/667 as compared to the
680/690/603 saws. The 665/675/681 are on the same case as each
other too, also the same as the Dolmar 7900, but different then
the older Solo's...lol it gets kinda confusing but when you have
them all in front of you it makes sense.
Strokes can easily be changed with different rod lengths or
different cranks. I've taken a 680 jug and put it on a 603 for
the longer stroke and vice versa, all the parts interchange with
those saws besides the stroke.

The 680 has my attention, with the same bore and stroke as a
181 it should make a decent 5 cube sa saw.
I'll try to make a video of my 662 and post to this thread.
