When your cutting small wood then you have what you need. No
need to be slinging all that extra weight if you do not need to.
I have never done any hedge row work like what you show in
your video but, I do get the occasional call from inlaws with
branches that have broken off some old cotton woods. I carry a
46cc saw for those times.

I always go for the smallest lightest saw for the job. Trim,
path and row clearing I go for the 30cc to 49cc depending on the
wood size. I really like grabbing the echo 3900 39cc.

Yes my little poulans were not up to drop big oaks but were
great cutting firewood out of the mess a harvester left behind.
Since I have no splitter it worked out great. Hard enough to
walk in that tangled mess without a heavy saw in hand.

I like a 32cc with a 14" bar for the small stuff. I gave mine
away and now use Stihl 025's with 16" bars. They are a little
heavier.

I really enjoy using my baby Huskys.
235/240 and 435.
The older Huskys 142 ect are great and parts are everywhere.
There will always be a place in my cad for smaller saws.
I have the bigger saws for bucking.
These saws are just for fun.

Dolmar 420/421. You may not reach for the bigger saw all day.

I've got a Stihl 024 .For 42 cc or whatever it is the thing does
pretty well for light work .
Rescued from a dealers dead pile for 50 bucks with a slightly
seared exhaust .All I did was cut the baffles out of the muffler
and retune the carb .Easiest so called" in need of repair " saw
I ever owned .

These little guys are really versatile and probably enough 90%
of the time for us weekend warriors. I have heavier more
powerful saws to play with but my Husky 35 with 16" bar is the
one I reach for when work is to be done. Light, good power, and
reliable as gravity.
