What model Pioneer saws were the cousins to the Poulan Pro
series saws like the PP 455 etc?
Need info on the models PP and Pioneer that were similar and
       parts interchange etc.

The PP 455 is the Pioneer P45...I picked up a P45 week before
       last.

How hard is pistons to find and other parts for these? I might
be taking one in trade on my clinton and the pp 455 has a scored
piston that I know of so far.

I had seen that p+c already, Thanks though.
But I am wondering about seals, bearing etc to keep it going.
The piston is scored so I am guessing deeper issues and not
       operator error.
I will get a look at it at the poulan gtg.

Jacks small engines says they have 455 parts. (seals and
bearings) I bought a pp455 from ebay and it had a cracked
crankcase. >:( so i parted it out to get my money back. i still
have the scored piston and cylinder from it. They can be cleaned
       up and used IMO.PP455

Well I guess I got to see if we trade first. I told the guy I
would rather have a scored poulan 455 then a old clinton up on
       my shelf weighing it down.
He wants to restore the American made iron clinton, which is
       cool for a collector.

There are a surprising amount of parts for the Pioneer, (and
Partner), based Poulan Pro saws through the Poulan/Weed Eater
distribution network. It's hit and miss, but often worth a look.
I recently got a nice P51 that I've yet to run. Do those
Pioneers share a bar mount with anything a little more common?
