That's the same as a John Deere CS81? If so, they can be made to
run really well, like this one!

Pretty sure they are the same. But not 100%

I got to run a ported 980 at a gtg and it was a strong runner
for sure.

There are some differences, porting, carbs, etc. Most are just
update changes and parts will swap.
