       Which Oregon saw(s) are you referring to?
       They had some prototypes out for testing in the 1960s, and
       currently there is a battery saw.
       Apart from that, the Oregon name is being misused in the
       marketing of some Chinese crap.

       The current Oregon saws (battery, corded electric, pole saw,
       etc.) are designed and sold through a division of Blount, the
       parent company.  Most part are manufactured in China, except I
       was told that the Li-Ion batteries were made in Japan. Some
       components, like bars and chain might also come from other
       Oregon locations.
