       Promac 54

Hi everyone, new to this forum.
I got a promac 54 and I would like to know if there is a
throttle linkage which keeps the housing for the throttle cable
in place. I have never used this chainsaw and the throttle cable
does not stay on the carb linkage to allow acceleration. So I am
figuring there should be a holder to keep throttle cable in
place and prevent movement of cable housing to allow the cable
       itself to move.
Please help me on this one.

Often the spring tension of the throttle shaft and that of the
trigger assembly hold the cable tight?

This is a picture of the throttle cable in its housing. Every
time I squeeze the throttle the entire cable housing moves and
the cable end pops off the carb.

I've never owned nor seen a Promac but looking at the picture
reminds me of the typical Husqvarna set up.
The cable will have to go under the throttle arm and pull from
       the front of the carb

Also can you tell me which husky model has this throttle setup,
so I may check a schematic on how the cable is routed.

A promac 54 is a titan 560 the cable goes through thottle
linkage on carb with spring staying on the bottom of the pivot
then the ball end goes up in the groove on the intake divide. if
you ever want to sell it let me know.
