       had a couple extra beers after my day.........338...first i run
       this saw.....oiler adjustment screw was just setting on top w/
       adjuster still attached .......looked like a piece was broken
       off at the bottom of the threads......like i say......will check
       out in am.......clearer head......lol

       Yes.......this is the back-up.....Will these pieces need to be
       separated before assembling? Seems like I can grab a couple
       threads.....but didn't want to force it....also, need to know
       the reasoning for the chips......thinking someone may have
       forced it some way.

       That should be just the dentents for oiler adjustment. Looks
       like it just come unscrewed to far.  Like when you back out you
       feel 3 notches so to speak.
       I dont know if you can get it started and tightened down without
       removing the motor or not. See the area for a socket or wrench,
       just guessing. Never had to go deep in a 338 yet.  I'd sure try
       just doing it with a screwdriver first though.
       Manual says just screw in tighten down.

       Yes I felt the notch's......not so sure if I can just get away
       w/screwdriver only tho.
