I still dont see why a 2171 cant play too, same dang saw as
       372xp ???.
Heck even hybridized 2171 crankcase with all orange besides the
crankcase is a 372 to me and it already has a stock 50mm on it.
Dont matter to me anyhow. I was just going to send saws to
guys to use with 50mm tops. No biggie, they can set right back
       on the shelves ;D.

I think the 365s will be ok. Just needs to be a 50mm topend.
[/quote] Unless it has the smaller capasity Zama carb that many
       of them came with.

I think I'm going to get in on the porting fun too, I've gotta
make a couple calls to see if I can scrounge up a pile of parts
to make into a 372/371/2171/362/365/2071/2163 saw. It should be
interesting to see what sort of stuff shows up at that GTG.

Yeah I think I might have found a 372 local for a good price and
       join in the fun myself.

Sounds like Terry changed his mind and letting Jreds 2165 2171
       2071 etc and 365 etc in long as 50mm bore. 8) 8)
       tlandrum2002  = folks i dont mind if you use 365 371xp 372xp
372xpw bottom ends or the jred counter parts as long as nobody
whines about all the saws not being the same. but you must use
the 50mm cylinder with the apprpriate intake and carb for the
372xp all other rules being in effect concerning how you build
it. i said from post #1 that rules were subject to change. so by
all means run whatch u brung. im not trying to exclude
anyone, hell this is for fun and bragging rights. and for people
to really be able to get a feal for the differences in how
perticular builders do things. not looking under the hood, just
       seat of the pants differences.

June 18th in TN is the gtg. People can send saws in to Terry
and must run spark screens and 24" 3/8 050 84DL stock chains.
       PM sent with additional info.

Guys asking me for a 50mm 372. I have plenty but hard to conform
to the rules that have been set.
Some of my saws have red in them, some have 362 365 tags, some
have BB on 372 and 372xpg tags, some are already ported. But I
do have plenty of 50mm stock tops and crankcases they could go
on. Just replace the tags with a 372xp tag. Husky tags are
known to come off and get lost. ;)
       Few I have left.

I got me a nice one local. It's almost brand new. I really doubt
       it's broke in.
