       Guy said he picked it up for $7 at the scrapyard.    Guessing a
       poulan 8500 made into a concrete saw.

       Yep.  Older versions were the 5.2/14 (based on the 5200) and
       4.2/12 (based on the 4200).
       I bet that was HomeliteJim.  He's the scrapyard master.

       Yep, I searched around for that case also to fix my 8500, gave
       up, figured there were even fewer of those than the saws.  I'll
       be lookin out for it.

       Thats his thing, buy cheap or free and feebay. Keeps some older
       stuff for his collection needs. But $$$ talks.
