Welding up the clutch cover on a Solo Rex.

So this was in pretty bad shape and the metal very thin. I can
see why it cracked if not careful.
This is a before pic.

Amazing. That cover was a mess in the beginning.
By the way I was on the phone for a couple hours the other day
shooting the chit.
I was telling IMO the best production chainsaw hotsaw builder
in the United States about what you can do with magnesium. He
sounded very impressed over the phone.

Thanks for the compliment.
Yes the clutch cover was pretty bad and tried my patients a
couple of times. I welded it from the back side also and left
a little extra weld there to help it from cracking again. The
magnesium was very thin.

Hey Roger, did you weld up that clutch cover from the 268/72
that had a bow bar on it yet?

No not yet. I need to remove the brake from it first and have
not got around to it. It is on the list.
