Jonsered 2077
By: KilliansRedLeo Date: August 14, 2013, 8:30 am

Got a pretty nice 2077 in on trade for another saw. Looks like a
pretty nice saw, a bit heavy but it is a 75cc saw after all.
I am trying to decide if I clean it up and flip it or try some
mods on it.
If anyone has any ideas on what I might be able to do with it in
terms of mods, let me know. I don't even know how well this
particular saw responds to modification.

I have run one of these saws in the Poulan Pro version and they
are a strong running saw.

JMO but stock for stock I would almost bet my 70.7cc quad port
445 poulan will stay with or out cut the poulan 475 76.5cc =
jred 2077 single transfer style. I have both and the 475 has a
hair more intake duration that helped it out.

How old is it? The early ones didn't have the fully deveroped
"Air injection"/"Turbo"/CCS (nor did the PP475, or the early
P7700s).

The guy who I get the saw from came in today with a gift, BIN
OEM cylinder and piston for the 2077! So now does anyone know if
this will work on any other saws?

A stash of NOS hit the market

2077 will fit all the rest of the series too.

The P710/PP445 is a later model, so it wouldn't be that much of
a surprice if it is at least close.

Seen this in a group of saws, trimmers and mower for sale as a
lot.
The metal clutch cover was a added bonus.

Some redneck stuff happened over years. Pulled top cover, air
injection tube wrapped in that heat foil stuff. The chain brake
left side they used a big bolt and wore hole through case on
side. SMH. Get pics in a bit.
7700 pulled muffler piston has small scuff streak in very
center. Pulled clutch drum, the better clutch put has the metal
worm gear.
8000 might be locked up.
