Definately better price than a Foredom MC182A handpiece. I just
bought one. If I had done a little research on em I might have
bought the Mac. It looks to be small enough.

Now talk about a pain in the azz, trying to do upper transfers
.The grinder is in your way to see anything .You try a mirror
and every thing is backwards . Through the exhust port you can't
get to all of it .
What a person really needs is hands the size of a toddlers with
fingers as long as soda straws and a grinder the size of a
pencil .Been down that road ,cussed a lot .

I can tell already that it's much bigger than the CC 182MC
handpiece, and you can get a reversing motor and run left handed
carbide or a stone to get upper transfers without chatter.

yeah i figured it was a little on the big side :) and yes, it is
the same size as the blue point.
scarr. i take it your pic is of an electric one? what's the
make/brand? i'll probably end up just sucking it up for the
foredom, however i just want to see what else is out there
before emptying my pockets :D

That is a CC Specialties 182a MC handpiece and I use it on a
Foredom SR hanging motor.

If I were to buy a motor again I would get a Mastercarver since:
[li]It comes with a handpiece that can chuck 1/4" burs instead
of something like 7/32" that the Foredom #30 can chuck. [/li]
[li]It is 1/2HP and spins 30k instead of 18k.[/li]
[li]It is about the same price and can use Foredom
handpieces.[/li]
You can get to them with a pencil grinder if you can find long
enough cutters to get in there .The secret I've found is slow
the danged thing down enough it doesn't walk on you and have a
lot of patience because it goes real slow .Geeze you can do the
rest of the engine in half the time it takes to do the uppers or
at least it is with me .
