This one is filling the starter side, carb area and filter with
chain oil.

crankcase gasket? Have you check for crankcase bolts tightness?

I went over it good tonight, cleaned it. Will take it to work
tomorrow. First guess, I think someone wanted a day off. Looks
like they poured oil in the starter side.

Another cracked case. Took the coil off and there is was.
Runs about 11 to 5 on a clock face.

These 156's that are cracking cases are they in commercial use?
Not homeowner type use of firewood cutters and trimming etc.
Commercial, I mean by hard pro use.

They get 8 hours per day clear cutting. The 165 ( newest of the
line ) does not use a mag case. Was told it was switched to
aluminium. No case failure on the 165 yet.

Mag cases thinner making them sort of brittle maybe? Whats Efco
saying? They want them back for look see's?

Haven't heard from the first one yet. Will let them know
tomorrow about this one. The 165 got run over by a forwarder
load of pine and the case is fine. ???
